## Information to include in a support request

To help diagnose an issue, please include:

- the FilmContractor version shown in the About window;
- your Windows version;
- the selected application language and theme;
- a concise description of the steps that produced the issue;
- the complete error message, if one appeared; and
- whether the issue affects all DOCX templates or only one particular template.

Do not email confidential contracts, personal data, bank-account details or production documents unless support explicitly requests a safe, redacted example. Remove or replace confidential information before attaching screenshots, templates or generated files.

## Before contacting support

- Confirm that the referenced DOCX template still exists at the configured location.
- Confirm that the selected output folder exists and is writable.
- Try generating a document with one of the included example templates.
- If a custom template fails, check that its placeholders use the supported `||PlaceholderName||` format.
- Record the exact wording of any validation or file-access message.

## Scope

FilmContractor support covers installation, application operation, template placeholders and document-generation behaviour. It does not provide legal advice or review the legal adequacy of contracts and templates.
